Nutrition programs are an important part of the Division of Early Care and Education. Two of these programs are the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).
The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) gives meal reimbursements to eligible child care and adult care providers for serving nutritious meals and snacks as a part of their program. Click here to learn more about CACFP.
Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) ensures that children in low-income areas can continue to receive nutritious meals during the summer months when they do not have access to school lunch or breakfast. The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is now located at the South Carolina Department of Education. For more information, go to their website here.
